This is a thermal printer like you would find on a cash register or adding machine. It will print simple strings passed to it via TTL serial, bitmap images (poorly) and it even generates several different formats of barcodes!
The thermal printer takes 2.25" (57mm) wide thermal paper with a max roll diameter of 1.5" (39mm). Thermal paper is inexpensive and commonly found in most office supply stores in 85ft lengths. This is a joystick very similar to the ‘analog’ joysticks on PS2 (PlayStation 2) controllers. Directional movements are simply two potentiometers - one for each axis. Pots are ~10k each. This joystick also has a select button that is actuated when the joystick is pressed down.

This is a heavy-duty joystick very similar to the ones in claw arcade games. Directional movements are momentary limit switches - one for each direction. This joystick also has a select button that is actuated when the red button is pressed down.
This joystick is pretty beefy and very tall because of it. We built up an enclosure just to see what it would look like. Ideally, this joystick would be panel mounted, but actually reading the movement of the joystick is as simple as setting up the microcontroller to read five switches.

This is an IC Test Clip for 8-pin small outline integrated circuits (SOIC). This test clip assures a secure connection to all chip leads on an 8-pin SMD SOIC and provides hands-free testing.
On this test clip you will find two sets of gold plated contacts, upper contacts to attach wiring and lower contacts for an 8-pin IC. Simply place your choice of IC in the lower contacts and attach female terminated jumper wires to the 0.1" spaced upper contacts and you are ready to start testing!
