Ordering Procedure

  • Once you checkout and confirm your order, we get notified of your request
  • For Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)  please e-mail your proof of payment to sales@riecktron.co.za
  • The order will be processed once payment has been received 
  • You will receive e-mails advising your order status including courier tracking numbers
  • Please note that shipping times only come into effect once the order is dispatched. Please allow 1 working day for processing (for goods in stock)

Payment Options

Payment can be either via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) or via Credit Card.
Please note that credit card processing is done through the  Payfast gateway.

Since the banks charge a cash deposit fee, we recommend one of the payment options above. Should you still want to do a cash deposit, please add R45.00 to your order total to cover the bank charges.

Shipping Info

Shipping options depend on your location and the weight of your package. When checking out, you will get the option of door to door, or pick up from store. 

Dispatch

Goods will be dispatched within 1 working day from the receipt of proof of payment, provided all items are in stock. Upon dispatch, the customer will be notified via email which will include a tracking number to track their package online. Same day shipping is not guaranteed, but we aim to process all orders before the daily courier cut-off times.

VAT

Riecktron is VAT registered. If you require a VAT invoice, please include your VAT registration number under company name when creating your profile. Alternatively send us an e-mail at admin@riecktron.co.za with your VAT details and we will update your profile and send you a copy of the Tax Invoice.

Pricing

We try to keep pricing on the site as accurate as possible, but pricing is subject to change subject to significant fluctuation in foreign exchange rates

When can I expect my order?

Stock Status: Available immediately

These items are in stock at our local store and will be processed within 1 working day if all items in your order are available.

Stock Status: 211 available in 9 working days

These items are not available yet at our local store and will be ordered from SparkFun. Stock is ordered weekly from Sparkfun (www.sparkfun.com) and shipped to our offices making use of international speed courier services.

Stock takes between 4 to 6 working days to arrive and to clear the import customs process. We then process the orders and send it out to your address making use of the shipping method you've chosen during the checkout process.

For example:

  • You place your order Monday, 3 February, making use of overnight shipping
  • We order the stock from Sparkfun on Tuesday, 4 February
  • Stock arrives at Riecktron by Thursday, 13 February
  • We process and send your package with the courier
  • Your package arrives at your address by Friday, 14 February (if overnight shipping was selected)

Stock Status: Out of stock

The items is currently not available from SparkFun. You are welcome to send an e-mail to admin@riecktron.co.za to enquire on the stock status.

Back order

Received and e-mail stating a product is on back order?

This means the items is temporarily out of stock from our supplier (SparkFun). We aim to keep stock quantities as accurate as possible on our website but it does happen from time to time that items are sold out between the time you add the items to your cart and your order is processed. You are welcome to contact us to follow up.

Can I purchase from your physical store?

You are welcome to pop in during our store trading hours, however we suggest you check on the website first whether we do have stock of the item/s you are looking for and place the order online and we can get the order ready for you. If you prefer to pay for in stock items when collecting, just make a note on your order, we accept Visa and Mastercard.

Given the nature of electronic goods we limit the amount of local stock kept.
